If you spend enough time driving, it’s easy to start forming opinions about drivers based solely on what they’re driving. A new report analyzed actual data from insurance companies and accident reports to come up with a definitive list of the best and worst drivers by vehicle brand and here are the results:
1. Tesla, Ram, and Subaru have the worst drivers. Across the country, Tesla drivers had nearly 37 incidents per 1,000 drivers throughout 2024. That includes accidents, DUIs, speeding, and citations.
Ram is second-worst, after being the worst overall in 2023.
2. On the flip-side, Mercury, Pontiac, and Cadillac have the BEST drivers. Mercury drivers had 19 incidents per 1,000 drivers nationally . . . about half the rate among Tesla drivers.
This is the second-straight year Mercury topped the list.
