The Cars with the Fewest Issues, and the Ones with the Most. J.D. Power has released its 2025 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study, which analyzed the durability of three-year-old cars, from the model year 2022. Lexus was the top-ranking brand for a third consecutive year. It was followed by Buick, Mazda, Toyota, and Cadillac. Of all 30 brands, Volkswagen ranked LAST. Chrysler was next-worst, followed by Jeep, Audi, and Land Rover. The study, now in its 36th year, covers 184 specific problem areas across nine major vehicle categories: climate; driving assistance; driving experience; exterior; features/controls/displays; infotainment; interior; powertrain; and seats.
