Rev. Jesse Jackson has been discharged from Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a two-week stay for observation related to progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare neurological disorder. The civil rights icon, 84, remains in stable condition, and his family expressed gratitude for the support and prayers received during his hospitalization. Jackson, a mentee of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is known for his work in advancing economic justice for Black communities through organizations like PUSH and the National Rainbow Coalition. He had lived with Parkinson’s disease since 2013 before being diagnosed with PSP in April.
